Position Summary:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities within a real estate development company.

They are responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating contracts for goods and services required for construction projects and property development.

The Procurement Manager ensures that the company obtains the best value for money while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to project timelines.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Sourcing:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, contractors, and vendors to ensure the best available options for procurement needs. Develop and maintain a robust supplier base to support ongoing and future projects.

Procurement Planning:
Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to determine procurement requirements, specifications, and timelines. Develop procurement plans, strategies, and budgets aligned with project goals and objectives.

Supplier Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, contractors, and vendors. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels. Continuously assess supplier performance and manage any issues or disputes that may arise.

Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and purchase agreements with suppliers. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies. Monitor contract performance, resolve discrepancies, and facilitate contract amendments or terminations as needed.

Cost Optimization:
Implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives without compromising quality or project requirements. Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement. Optimize procurement processes and leverage economies of scale.

Risk Management:

Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement activities, such as supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, or quality issues.

Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of risks and maintain project continuity.

Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and consumption patterns to ensure an adequate supply of materials and equipment. Coordinate with project teams to forecast procurement needs and prevent stockouts or excessive inventory.

Compliance and Ethics:
Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to procurement and supply chain management. Promote fair and transparent procurement practices within the organization.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within the real estate or construction industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and services commonly used in real estate development projects.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problemsolving abilities to assess complex procurement situations and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as public procurement laws or industryspecific standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment and manage multiple priorities.

Salary:
Up to AED10,000.00 per month
