    Job Summary:The Estimator/QS is responsible for accurately estimating the costsassociated with construction projects analyzing projectspecifications and requirements and preparing detailed costestimates. The role requires a strong understanding of constructionprocesses materials labor and market conditions to ensurecompetitive and accuratebids.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    1. ProjectAnalysis:
    • Reviewand analyze project specifications drawings and other documents tounderstand projectrequirements.
    • Conduct onsite visitsto assess project conditions and gather relevantinformation.
    • Collaborate withproject managers architects engineers and subcontractors to gathernecessary data for accurateestimates.
  • CostEstimation:
    • Preparedetailed cost estimates for labor materials equipment and overheadcosts.
    • Utilize constructionestimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency inthe estimation process.
    • Stayinformed about market trends material costs and industry bestpractices to ensurecompetitiveness.
  • BidPreparation:
    • Developcomprehensive bid proposals and pricingdocumentation.
    • Work closely with thebid team to ensure timely and accurate submission ofbids.
    • Collaborate with otherdepartments to incorporate their input into the bidprocess.
  • RiskAssessment:
    • Identifypotential risks and uncertainties in projectestimates.
    • Work with project teamsto develop strategies to mitigate risks anduncertainties.
    • Providerecommendations on pricing strategies to enhance projectprofitability.
  • Vendorand SubcontractorNegotiation:
    • Obtainand evaluate subcontractor and supplierbids.
    • Negotiate pricing and termswith vendors and subcontractors to achieve costeffectivesolutions.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintainaccurate and organized records of estimates bid documents andcorrespondence.
    • Prepare and presentreports on estimated costs cost variances and other relevantinformation.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelorsdegree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or relatedfield.
    • Proven experience as aEstimator in the constructionindustry.
    • Proficiencyin construction estimating software such as PlanswiftCandy Softwareand Microsoft OfficeSuite.
    • Excellent analytical andmathematical skills.
    • Strongcommunication and interpersonalskills.
    • Ability to workcollaboratively in a teamenvironment.


    Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, orrelated field. Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in theconstruction industry. Strong knowledge of construction processes,materials, and industry standards. Proficiency in constructionestimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellentanalytical and mathematical skills. Strong communication andinterpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a teamenvironment.
