    JOBSUMMARY (Major functions of the position)

    Roles &Responsibilities

    • Mustbe able to design and analyze Steel Structure elements of buildingsand other steel structures.
    • Must be able todevelop detailed design calculations for the steel structures allsteel to steel and steel to concrete connections and get approvalfrom contractor client and consultants.
    • Must beable to review shop drawings prepared in Tekla and Autocad andmanage the modelling and detailing team.
    • Mustbe able to do connection design of complex steel structures forbuildings warehouses industrial projects using connection softwaresuch as idea statica or RAM/LIMCON or be able to generate own excelspreadhseets for connection design.
    • Can doquantity take off for steel structures from the Tender/IFC drawingsprovided.
    • Create detailed technical drawingsand specifications for constructionprojects.
    • Collaborate with architectscontractors and other professionals to develop structuraldesigns.
    • Conduct site visits and inspections toassess existing structures and identify potentialissues.
    • Perform calculations and simulations todetermine the strength and stability ofstructures.
    • Review and approve design changesand modifications based on projectrequirements.
    • Provide guidance and support tojunior engineers and drafters.
    • Stay updated onindustry standards codes and regulations related to structuraldesign.
    • Coordinate with project teams to ensuretimely completion of designdeliverables.
    • Communicate and present designconcepts and proposals to clients andstakeholders.


    DesiredQualifications:

    • Minimumof a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a relatedfield.
    • Must be well versed in STADD PRO/ETABSsoftware for Steel structure Design.
    • Must befamiliar with American and British Steel DesignCodes.
    • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license ispreferred.
    • At least 5 years of experience instructural design engineering.
    • Experienceworking on largescale construction projects is highlydesirable.
    • Strong knowledge of building codesand regulations.
    • Proficiency in structuraldesign software such as AutoCAD Revit orSAP
    • Excellent problemsolving and analyticalskills.
    • Effective communication andinterpersonal skills.
    • Ability to workcollaboratively in a teamenvironment.
    • Attention to detail and strongorganizationalskills.

    POSITIONSPECIFICATIONS

    Bachelor degree in Civil or StructuralEngineering and Masters Degree in StructuralEngineering

    • Knowledge in fabrication anderection activities
