Robotics and STEM Teacher


Position Summary:

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement curriculum for Robotics and STEM courses that align with educational standards and objectives.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters curiosity in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
  • Teach students fundamental concepts of robotics, coding, electronics, engineering principles, and related technologies through both theoretical and practical instruction.
  • Guide students in designing, building, programming, and troubleshooting robotic systems, encouraging innovation and creativity.
  • Provide clear explanations, demonstrations, and instructions to ensure students grasp complex technical concepts and procedures effectively.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, such as tests, projects, presentations, and practical demonstrations.
  • Offer individualized support and guidance to students, helping them overcome challenges and develop problem-solving skills.
  • Stay current with advancements in robotics, automation, artificial intelligence, and other relevant technologies to incorporate emerging trends into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organize STEM-related events, competitions, and extracurricular activities, fostering a culture of innovation and exploration.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of robotics equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring proper usage, maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment, promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equal opportunities for all students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree is desirable.
  • Proficient knowledge of robotics programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Scratch) and familiarity with relevant hardware platforms (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivatestudents of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and hands-on activities.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to fostering students' interest in STEM fields.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a creative mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and curriculum requirements.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in working with robotics equipment.
  • Experience organizing robotics competitions, clubs, or extracurricular activities is a plus.
  • Teaching certification or licensure may be required, depending on the institution and location.

Salary:
From AED3,000.00 per month
