- Analysis local market trends andcompetitor activity to identify businessleads
- Develop customer accounts and travelwithin the local area to drive business into the specifichotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenuestreams
- Negotiate room rates/packages withcorporate clients
- Develop and implementcreative local marketing channels, including social mediachannels
- Prepare company contracts for thehotel in accordance with current business and pricingconditions
- Work within current businessstrategies and recognising potentialopportunities
- Cooperate with other departmentsin the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and buildstrong, comprehensive sales programs
- AttendSales events, as required
- Produce accurate andtimely reports that meet the needs of the Sales Director and seniormanagement to include the reporting of appointments, calls made andbusiness leads
- Answer customer queries in aprompt and professional manner
- Manage staffperformance in compliance with company policies andprocedures
- Recruit, manage, train and developthe Sales team
