- Skills inproviding consultation to other professional and non-professionalgroups
- Experience of specialist psychologicalassessment and treatment of clients across the full range of caresettings, including outpatient, community, primary care and inpatient settings.
- Experience of working with awide variety of client groups, across the whole life coursepresenting problems that reflect the full range of clinicalseverity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism inthe face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuseand the threat of physical abuse.
- Demonstratefurther specialist training/experience through having received aminimum of 50 hours clinical supervision of working as a qualifiedclinical/counselling psychologist in Adult Mental Health settingsover a minimum of 18 months.OR2 years post qualification experiencein a mental health setting as a Family & SystemicPsychotherapist/Psychological Therapist
- Abilityto teach and train others, using a variety of complex multi-mediamaterials suitable for presentations within public, professionaland academic settings.
- Ability to identify andemploy mechanisms of clinical governance as appropriate, to supportand maintain clinical practice in the face of regular exposure tohighly emotive material and challengingbehaviour
