DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- ReportTo The Regional Maintenance Manager

• Coordinate the regional master outageschedule with consideration of client needs, Power PurchaseAgreements, Service Agreements, client fiscal years and TurbineGenerator outages.
• Collaborate with assignedfacility Maintenance Planners on outage schedules, while ensuringno regional overlaps occur.
• Work directly withprocurement, regional resources, and management to develop andcontinuously improve the Outage Readiness Index (ORI)process
• Maintain open communications withOperations concerning all maintenance-related topics, including toall department heads and staff.
• Interface withProcurement and facilities to secure and maintain competent andcompetitive vendors.
• Develop and monitor outagescopes of work with field-based personnel based on the LTMPprocess.
• Contribute to the completion of PostOutage Summaries with improvement actionsforward.
• Identify any changes in cost andschedule forecast as well as balance resources for producing ordelivering project deliverables.
• Assist incoordinating and facilitating the Long-Term Maintenance Plan reviewand revision as part of the annual budgetingprocess.
• Complete Project Progress, Statusreports and other required reports.
• Mentor andpromote development of the NJ Planners and MaintenanceManagers
  

What You'llBring:

REQUIREMENTS (Education,Skills, Certificate, Licenses, Experience):

• Minimum 10 years'experience in industrial boiler/pressure part construction,maintenance, and repairs.
• A high school diplomaor equivalent, and the ability to read and understand instructions,training, safety, health-related materials, and workrules.
• Proficient oral and writtencommunications skills.
• Strong interpersonalskills both to represent the company to external parties as well aswork with many and diverse interested parties within thecompany.
• Advanced understanding of EfW plantequipment, operations, and hazards including the effects ofchanging plant conditions.
• Working knowledge ofcomputerized Maintenance Management systems and how they interactacross all aspects of Covanta business. Proficiency inCovanta's current system is aplus.
• Ability to learn Covanta financials andhow they are used to plan, budget, and forecast Maintenance spend,both Expense and CapEx.
• Prior supervisory orlead responsibility experience regarding job set up, labormanagement and progressing work to owner/client.
• Strong computer skills, primarily withMicrosoft Office products. Specific experience using MS Projects,Primavera or similar planning program.
• Abilityto read and understand design drawings/ shop fabricationdrawings.
• Knowledge/ experience of Lean SixSigma is a plus.
  

PHYSICALDEMANDS:

• The ability totravel approximately 20-30% is a requirement of thisrole
• Ability to participate in Covanta trainingand obtain certifications to allow for site visits allowing freeunattended access to all parts of facilities and be qualified toenter the boiler train during anoutage.
• Physical condition to passcardiopulmonary testing for full face respiratoruse.
• Ability to climb scaffolding, access waysin boilers and frequently use stairs andladders.
