Post Title:
Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor (Common)**
JOB PURPOSE:Supervise and perform installation, maintenance, repair, testing, predictive I preventive I breakdown

maintenance for Rotating and Static Equipment to ensure equipment availability, reliability and integrity.


Maintenance Planning and execution

  • Ensure availability of required resources for mechanical maintenance execution and schedule expectations to complete the job safely and in time.
  • Plan, schedule, execute and supervise rotating/static equipment Preventive/Predictive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and availability.
  • Inspect I follow up tasks progress and final completion, and provide report to ensure timely and quality

job execution.

  • Provide technical support, prepare scope of work, contracts, cost reporting and participate in negotiation for equipment repair to meet required standards and cost effectiveness.
  • Update refurbished equipment database and history for the equipment and their accessories to ensure effective equipment keeping.
  • Participate and conduct daily /weekly safety toolbox talks to discuss on safety and methods of completing job tasks.
  • Supervise the testing and commissioning of new or modified equipment or systems, ensuring that repairs conform to correct methods and safety procedures.
  • Participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown and major overhaul maintenance activities.
  • Implement SOW such as permit to work and ensure controls in HIRA are implemented.

Materials Control

  • Monitor availability of needed tools, equipment, and parts for scheduled jobs to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare list of spares, tools and materials required for the maintenance jobs and issue the Purchase/Material requisitions. Inspect and confirm that the specifications are in line with the requirement of the received 'direct charge' and 'stock Materials'.
  • Arrange the transportation of materials to site and coordinate with workshop supervisor on the use of heavy equipment, rigging services.

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective functional objectives.

  • Implement AGP policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
  • Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Performance Management

  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section I Team I Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency In line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health. Safety. Environment CHSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
  • Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Reports

  • Provide progress reports to planning section and assigned line manager.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:


Internal

  • Regular work related contact with concerned Team I Section Leaders, peer Professional staff and team members on matters related to Team I Section Policies and Processes, People, HSE and domain specific issues.
  • Contacts with Operations Team, Process coordinators, Discipline Engineers, HSE Advisors, Ware house Staff on work related matters.

QUALIFICATIONS


EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:


Minimum Qualification

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 5 years of experience as a supervisory role for Mechanical maintenance activities within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Trouble shooting skills in Hydraulic Systems and solid handling systems
  • Good technical knowledge of CMMS activities, Maintenance engineering, Maintenance system auditing compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality
  • Knowledge in vibration analysis, Lifting, Rigging, safe material handling, pumps, Heat Exchangers and hydrocarbon hose connections
  • Must be able to work efficiently with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance Support, Materials Management, contractors, Environmental, Safety and other groups within the plant organization
  • Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices
  • Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Coordinating, Checking
