Role Purpose

· Work on simple to medium level projects as assigned

· Extract, prepare and interpret data, and is able to deliver quality reports

· Evaluate providers' and clinicians' behaviour to identify trends and patterns

· Develop initiatives and recommend effective methods addressing medical inflation drivers

· Provide input for initiatives addressing the drivers of medical inflation

· Work across the Medical Strategy division performing analytical tasks as needed

· Participate in the planning and organising of cost optimisation activities

· Deliver high quality customer service and respects medical/work ethics at all times

Key Requirements and Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry in:

o Data management (hospital records, authorisations and/or claims) or

o Data analysis/reports/automations (e.g. SAS, Oracle)

· Good understanding of CPT4 and ICD9 CM coding systems

· Bachelor's degree in any field is required; strongly preferred fields are related to Computer Science or programming, Statistics or Mathematics or Medicine/Paramedicine

Skills and Competencies

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and basic knowledge of SAS

· Good business understanding and background

· Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage

· Good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem-solving skills

· Results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work

· Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions

· Good knowledge of health insurance concepts
