Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Event Director to lead and execute high-profile events in a full-time, on-site role based in UAE. Responsibilities include overseeing all stages of event planning and management, developing budgets, leading client communications, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful event execution. The Event Director will also drive sales efforts to grow the client base, identify business opportunities, develop new partnerships, and deliver memorable event experiences.
Responsibilities
- Providing overall strategic direction and leadership for large-scale and government-led events in the UAE
- Leading the planning, budgeting, and execution of multiple event projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
- Managing and mentoring Event Managers and project teams, ensuring consistent quality and operational excellence
- Overseeing coordination with UAE government authorities, senior clients, internal teams, and external vendors
- Reviewing and approving event plans, logistics, schedules, risk assessments, and operational workflows
- Proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and making critical decisions during planning and live events
- Monitoring project performance and providing regular reports and strategic updates to senior management
- Leading post-event evaluations, insights, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Project Management, or a related field
- 5–8+ years of experience in event management or production, with strong exposure to UAE government or large-scale corporate events
- Solid understanding of UAE event permits, regulations, and authority requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and vendors
- Strong commercial awareness, including budget ownership and cost control
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (Arabic is an advantage)
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure live event environment, including long hours when required
