The job is based in BeNeLux area

The employer is looking for a Ship repair foreman to lead teams of 18-20 people at a shipyard.

The ship repair foreman will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality repair of vessels within our dry dock facilities.


Responsibilities:


  • In collaboration with the project leader and the team coordinator, you will contribute to the successful completion of mechanical and welding projects, on board of ships.
  • You mainly work outdoors, limiting administrative tasks to checking work orders and ordering materials. No complicated calculations or quotations, just handson work.
  • You will supervise different yards and work, obviously consulting with the client and adjusting the project if necessary.
  • Depending on the specific project, you supervise various people on the dry dock, such as subcontractors and welders.
  • In case of problems, you are the first to quickly intervene and help solve them.

PROFILE

  • You have a background in mechanics, machine construction or metal construction.
  • You have experience with.
  • You have at least 5 years of.
  • You have to be, sometimes dockings are in the evening or the weekend.
  • You are willing to in all weather conditions.
  • You have to be able to.
  • You have good and clear skills at B2-C1 level, this is the language you will communicate in.

CONDITIONS
Regular hours per week - 38h

Paycheck - Monthly

Gross salary / hour - €17-€20/h (negotiable)

Mealvouchers - no

Overtime - 7-12h/week is the average

How is overtime paid? - 150% or an extra holiday

Working hours

  • Mo-Thu: 8:0016:30
Fr: 8:00-14:30

HOUSING & TRANSPORTATION

  • The employer provides accommodation for you. You have a whole apartment to yourself or you can choose to share the apartment and pay less.
  • The employee is obliged to pay tax on "free housing". The amount depends on the price of the flat, but is much lower than the actual cost of accommodation. This will be discussed during the interviews.
  • The cost of first time arrival is paid by the employee. The empoyer does
    not cover the cost of travel to work.

Pay:
AED16, AED20,100.00 per month
