We are seeking a Catering coordinator to oversee our catering operations.In this role, you will:
- responsible for coordinating food preparation for a major section of a large operation such as the bakery and catering section
- coordinating an event timeline, maintaining inventory, overseeing staff
- to handle the administration for the F&B department with follow up
- in charge of planning and managing all the needs of events and catering services.
- to create excellent design or set-up in catering
- to compile and file the daily reports for F&B
- to handle the calendar management
- to assist the F&B operations when required
- Direct daily activities of our catering services.
- Gain an indepth understanding of each client's specific needs for their events.
- Assist in event planning, mindful of clients' budget and time restrictions.
- Liaise with clients to fully grasp their requirements.
- Seek out and select vendors, balancing quality and cost efficiency.
- Negotiate terms with vendors to secure advantageous agreements.
- Organize and execute catering events, ensuring toptier service is delivered.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients, vendors, and event venues.
- Coordinate client needs and manage the intricacies of event planning.
- Detail event components including menu selection, proposal drafting, and financial documentation.
- Generate accurate financial reports and oversee timely payment collections.
- Administer inventory control and procurement of necessary supplies.
- Tackle any event challenges proactively, ensuring smooth operations.
- Prepare for various eventualities that might impact event quality.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with culinary staff on menu development and catering packages.
- Manage budgeting and billing processes.
- Resolve customer complaints and address issues promptly.
- Conduct final event checks and oversee all aspects of event execution.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of diverse event requirements.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is mandatory
Currently based in the UAE can join immediately on Visit or Cancelled Visa:
- Fluent in Arabic, additional languages will be advantageous
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Excellent in creating designs / set up in catering events:
- Exceptional creativity and innovation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven track record as an Events Planner or Organizer.
- An impressive portfolio of previously managed events (team buildings, corporate meetings, parties, corporate events).
- Exceptional time management and communication skills.
- Strong sales skills and the ability to establish productive business relationships.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Willingness to provide references from previous clients.
