ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and communicate a vision for the future of the business
  • Direct & solely responsible for the development of action plans and budgets that drive and support all and any efforts that meet the visionary goal
  • Define measurable goals that develop and enhance processes, systems and practices and provide the means and resources needed to accomplish the goals.
  • Promote and publish the company and its activities by means of building and sustaining relationships with customers, suppliers, and organizations important to the company and its potential for profitable growth.
  • Monitor marketplace trends and changes so that the company may remain able to response to any challenge that may be presented
  • Maintain the competitive position of the business and balance it with equitable distribution of resources.
  • Manage the business for profitable growth and implement recognized business planning methodologies, annual budgets and performance reporting based on key performance indicators
  • Support the quality policy and system by providing the necessary resources via an operating budget.
  • Implement performance-based reward system.

Strategy Development:

Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the group's overall objectives, ensuring growth and expansion opportunities are identified and pursued.


Market Analysis:

Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape at the group level.

Provide insights and recommendations for new markets, products, and services.

Business Planning:

Collaborate with senior management to develop comprehensive business plans, including financial forecasts, budgets, and operational targets for the group.

Ensure alignment of business plans with overall group strategy.

Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers. Actively engage in networking activities and attend industry events to expand the group's business network.

New Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations that align with the group's objectives. Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure profitable deals and partnerships.

Operations Management:
Oversee the operational aspects of the group, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and compliance with relevant regulations. Streamline processes and implement best practices to optimize operations across multiple business units.

Team Leadership:
Manage a team of business development professionals and operations staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth and maximize team performance.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development and operations activities. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact business development and operations. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure business continuity.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Collaborate with other departments and business units within the group to ensure seamless coordination and integration of business development initiatives.

Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies relevant to the group's business. Proactively identify areas for improvement and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Compliance and Ethics:
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all business development and operational activities. Promote a culture of integrity and ethical conduct within the group.


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- business development manager: 5 years (preferred)
Business Developments: 5 years (preferred)
