    PositionOverview:We are currently seeking a detailorientedand experienced Insurance Coordinator to join our team. TheInsurance Coordinator will be responsible for liaising between thehospital and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurateprocessing of insurance claims. The successful candidate shouldhave a strong background in medical coding and at least 2 years ofexperience working in a hospital setting. This position offers acompetitive salary ranging from AED 6000 to AED 7000 with astandard 6day workweek from 9:00 AM to 5:00PM.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    1. InsuranceClaimsProcessing:
      • Reviewand verify patient insurance information including coverage andeligibility.
      • Coordinate with insurancecompanies to obtain preauthorizations and approvals for medicalprocedures and treatments.
      • Prepare and submitinsurance claims accurately and in a timelymanner.
      • Follow up on outstanding claims denialsand discrepancies to ensureresolution.
    2. MedicalCoding:
      • Assignappropriate medical codes to diagnoses procedures and servicesaccording to coding guidelines andregulations.
      • Ensure accuracy and completenessof coding to facilitate proper billing andreimbursement.
      • Stay updated on coding changesupdates and compliancerequirements.
    3. PatientCommunication:
      • Communicatewith patients regarding their insurance coverage benefits andfinancial responsibilities.
      • Provide assistanceand guidance to patients regarding insurance claims billinginquiries and payment options.
      • Address patientconcerns and inquiries related to insurance matters in aprofessional and empatheticmanner.
    4. DocumentationandRecordkeeping:
      • Maintainaccurate and organized records of insurancerelated activitiesincluding claims payments andcorrespondence.
      • Ensure compliance with privacyand confidentiality regulations when handling patient informationand medical records.
      • Generate reports as neededto track insurance claim status reimbursement trends andperformancemetrics.
    5. CollaborationandCoordination:
      • Collaboratewith healthcare providers administrative staff and otherdepartments to facilitate seamless insuranceprocesses.
      • Communicate effectively withinternal stakeholders to resolve issues and streamlineworkflows.
      • Participate in training sessions andmeetings to stay informed about departmental policies proceduresandupdates.

    Qualificationsand Experience:

    • Minimumof 2 years of experience working in a hospital or healthcaresetting preferably in insurance coordination or medicalbilling.
    • Proficiency in medical codingincluding knowledge of ICD10 CPT and HCPCS codesets.
    • Familiarity with insurance regulationsbilling practices and reimbursement processes in the UAE healthcareindustry.
    • Excellent organizational skills andattention to detail.
    • Strong communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionallywith patients insurance companies and internalstakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently andprioritize tasks effectively in a fastpacedenvironment.
    • Bachelors degree or diploma inHealthcare Administration Medical Coding or a related field(preferred).
