Reporting to the MEA Senior Manager, Brand Management, the
Community Manager - MEA (Middle East and Africa) will be based in Dubai.

As a Community Manager, you will foster a strong and engaged community for our brand and uphold a Player-First mentality in everything we produce, ensuring our community feels valued and heard.

You'll work closely with cross-functional Publishing teams to create inclusive campaigns that resonate with our players regionally.


As the Community Manager, you will also manage influencer relationships by identifying new creators, building long-lasting and productive relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring campaigns align with our brand values and messaging.

You will actively seek out new creators within our community, scouting for up-and-coming talent and nurturing their growth.

You will establish a strong network of influencers to help us reach new audiences and strengthen our brand's reputation in the region.


As a Community Manager, you'll have the exciting opportunity to work with our diverse gaming portfolio, which includes popular games such as Valorant, League of Legends, Wild Rift, TFT, and Legends of Runeterra, and will serve as a key liaison between our gaming communities and Riot.


Responsibilities

  • Be the local community ambassador, building direct lines of communication, conversations, and engagement with players, ensuring they have a voice so that campaigns are adapted to their needs.
  • Support the regional Brand and Content teams to tailor and enhance all major game beats.
  • Develop and execute a longterm strategy to enhance the sentiment and engagement of Riot's player community in the MEA region.
  • Identify, support, and grow MEAspecific player communities that prioritize Riot's most pertinent products and experiences.
  • Guide the local strategy for directtoplayer communications in our games to create a consistent experience for Riot fans.
  • Monitor and report local player sentiment to help guide present and future campaign strategy.
  • Respond to the shifting needs of our community as they develop, raising emergent issues with the team and tackling them by developing local projects that bring them together.
  • Manage influencer relationships by identifying new creators, building longlasting and productive relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring campaigns align with our brand values and messaging.
  • Continue building and improving our existing Creator program.
  • Collaborate with teams and partners to bring holistic communityfocused initiatives that our players love.
  • Develop Influencer service models and programs to support our creator community at scale better.
  • Build strong crossfunctional relationships internally in EMEA and globally.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in online communities, including digital marketing, influencer strategy, program development, and community activation execution.
  • Knowledge of community best practices, including communication strategies, engagement tactics, and creator partnerships.
  • Experience in crisis management and sensitive communications, with the ability to diffuse and resolve conflict constructively.
  • Proven track record of developing custom community activations that resonate with players and drive engagement.
  • Native fluency in Arabic, with an excellent level of English proficiency.
  • Passionate about more than one of our games (League of Legends, VALORANT, Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, or Legends of Runeterra) and their respective game genres, as well as connected to their communities, ingame language, and most recent memes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detailoriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering highquality work on tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced, dynamic environment where constant change and flexibility are key.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and outside the box, with a passion for innovation and experimentation in community building and influencer management.
  • Deep understanding of the gaming or interactive entertainment market.
  • Track record of growing, building, or sustaining local/regional customer communities in a competitive product category.
  • Passion for play, with a special affinity for competitive online games especially firstperson shooters.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to memes, slang, and trends.
  • Experience using data, insights, and research to make a solid case for community plans and follow up on outcomes.
