Description
Ensures staff under supervision follows required cleaning procedure.

  • Checks all occupied, departure, and vacant rooms.
  • Checks all check out rooms, pending room should be no rubbish, dirty linen, left over fruit and flower.
  • Monitors room attendants to ensure that long staying and VIP guests receive special attention an amenity.
  • Inspects permanent showing rooms, presidential, Deluxe Suite and Deluxe rooms.
  • Follow up on guest complaints.
  • Assists with the upkeep of discipline and house rules.
  • Report lost and found items.
  • Report of any missing items and eventual damage done by the guest immediately to Assistant Housekeeper.
  • Report all maintenance deficiencies immediately; follow up on corrective actions to Engineering Department.
  • Make sure that all shift staff properly hand over to the next reliever.
  • Keep the logbook up to date for Assistant Housekeeper.
  • Attends daily briefing and be attentive on special instructions.
  • Establishes effective employee relations.
  • Provides input to Housekeeping Department meetings.
  • Handles floor Housekeeping report as instructed.
  • Communicates room status between floors and Housekeeping office.
  • Participates in taking various Housekeeping inventories.
  • Ensures that communication between the staff and superiors is properly flowing.
  • Ensures that communication between the Housekeeping Department and other Department is properly flowing.
  • Advice subordinates on their work performance.
  • Conducts job orientation of newly employed employees.
  • Organizing deep cleaning.
  • Trains Housekeeping staffs according to set departmental standards and Policies and Procedures and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of safety, fire and hygiene regulations and makes sure that they are following the procedures.
  • Responsible for proper utilization and security of equipment in work areas.
  • Maintains appropriate standards of dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance and conduct of Housekeeping employees.
  • Controls and requisitions guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen necessary for the daily operation.
  • Recommends possible improvement of operation.

Education:


  • High school or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

Hotel Housekeeping Team Leader: 2 years (required)
