The Company
GLS International is a supply chain and logistics services company that forms part of a multi-national listed company. The business specializes in servicing retailers, distributors and logistics providers with outsourced services covering the full value chain.

The fleet controller will be supporting the fleet coordinator with the following responsibilities as set out below.


To support the fleet coordinator with the fleet in the UAE and it is his responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring that deliveries are made on time.

The fleet controller will work closely with the drivers, helpers and dispatchers to ensure that the trucks are operating safely, efficiently, and within regulatory guidelines.

The fleet controller will be ensuring that all administrative tasks related to the fleet are completed accurately and submitted on time.


Operational Execution:


  • Overseeing the daily operations of the road transport fleet, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and within budget.
  • Managing the budget for the fleet, including fuel, maintenance, and repair costs.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the fleet, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Ensuring that all administrative tasks related to the fleet are completed accurately and on time.
  • Managing the performance of the drivers, dispatchers, and maintenance staff, providing coaching and feedback as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports related to the fleet, including vehicle maintenance and repair logs, driver logs, and delivery schedules.
  • Working closely with customers and suppliers to ensure that deliveries are made on time and to their satisfaction.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the fleet's operations.
  • Ontime delivery percentage: This measures the percentage of deliveries that are made on time, as scheduled.
  • Fleet utilization rate: This measures the percentage of time that the fleet is in use, compared to the total available time.
  • Fuel efficiency: This measures the amount of fuel used per mile travelled, can be used to identify opportunities for fuel cost savings.
  • Maintenance costs per mile: This measures the cost of maintenance and repairs for the fleet, divided by the total miles travelled by the fleet.
  • Customer satisfaction ratings: This measures the satisfaction of customers with the quality of service provided by the fleet, including delivery times, product quality, and customer service.
  • Transport in charge of FD, CT, SBLF, SBIF & SBGN.
  • Monitoring of the HORECA and EC orders to confirm deliveries.
  • Communicating with the EC customers regarding their enquiry/appointments and delivery arrangements (Mumzworld, Firstcry, Talabat, Amazon, Noon)
  • Arranging deliveries for the JAFZA customers and obtaining JAFZA gate passes online.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Sales team to arrange deliveries for samples and POSM for promotional activities.
  • Arrangements for staff and vehicles for Promotion Events (Vehicles and Staff).
  • Investigating GRV disputes through proper investigations.
  • Responsible for the month end closure. (Suppliers and fuel)
  • Following up on outstanding POD's. (Own and Ad-Hoc fleet)
