We are hiring on behalf of aSovereign Wealth Fund Company based in Abu Dhabi for the role ofAccountant Accounts Payable & Fixed asset.

JobResponsibilities:

• Managemonitor and maintain the newly implemented accounting softwaresolution to track and report on the legal billings position of theCompany
  
• Theincumbent will play a key role in the implementation of a new legalbilling system. This will include working closely with third partyvendors internal stakeholders including other members of the APteam Legal General Services and the IT Project team.
  
• Manages the payment ofall legal tax invoices and procurement related payments inaccordance with our accounting procedures. Responsible for checkingthe invoice details for accuracy (incl. VAT payments) and correctallocation to the appropriate GL account and sub account.
  
• Reviews all legal invoice paymentsand checks for errors irregularities coding problems or duplicationof payment
  
• Maintain legal feestracker tracking all fee quotes approvals and maintain folders onCAMS and SharePoint.
  
• Maintain ofcontrol sheets on all contract payments including such details asinvoice number total value of contract etc.
  
• Ensures that all payments are madeon time within internally agreed service level agreements (SLA s).
  
• Reconciliation of accounts relatedto legal.
  
• Assisting GS with Legalvendor setup and onboarding.
  
• Analyses payments by currencyprepares payment instructions covering total payments foraccounting purposes and obtains authorized signatures on paymentinstructions to the bank. Reviews payments and identifies areaswhere systems are not being properly followed.
  
• Prepares the annual schedule ofaccruals and liaises with the Legal department on theadministration of accruals and assist in legalbudgeting.
  
• Checks and reviews foraccuracy the Facilities Management and Operational expensespayments processed by theCompany
  
• Participates in the trainingof junior team members.
  
• Carries outother similar or related duties asrequired
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelorsdegree in Accounting or equivalent coupled with an accountingqualification (CA CPA CMA etc.)
  
• Sound working knowledge of Oracle FinanceExperience
  
• Minimum of 3 years general accounting experience in a fast pacedhigh volume environment in the financial and Legal servicesindustry in theUAE
  
• UAENationalPreferred
  

TechnicalExpertise / Skills /Knowledge:

• Soundunderstanding of general principles of accounting and AP processing
  
• Soundunderstanding of relevant UAE and VAT law
  
• Soundanalytical and intellectual capabilities
  
• Highlevel of accuracy and attention todetail
