    Job Summary

    We areseeking an experienced Civil Engineer who is specialized in Civil& Structural Engineering to join our Project Management team(PMT). This Company Project Management Teams are responsible andaccountable for the delivery of best in class capital projects. PMTis directly involved in executing and managing assigned projectssafely on schedule within budget and to the highest standards ofintegrity and compliance. This will involve engineering designprocurement and construction of various sizes ($) types andcomplexity of small medium to multibilliondollar mega projects.Project Management Team manages and executes projects usually frommultiple site offices or engineering contractor design officesgeographically scattered throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.The Civil Engineer primary role is to ensure that engineeringdesign procurement construction and project completion is done incompliance with the project objective and contractual requirementsi.e. project schedule cost HSE company standards and procedures.The role also involves review and study of grass root and brownfield facilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Execute capital projects in alignment withscope schedule and budget.
    • Perform complextechnical and administrative tasks related to the design andcoordination of civil & structural packages.
    • Provide technical input and review for the designconstruction precommissioning commissioning and startup offacilities.
    • Address technical issues thatarise during all phases of the project development related to civil& structural packages.
    • Be responsible forproject development including engineering studies technical bidreviews preliminary engineering detailed designs materialsprocurement construction precommissioning handover commissioningand startup.
    • Review and provide input on thedesign of civil/structural packages to ensure compliance with ThisCompany standards and specifications.
    • Managedesign contractor activities during the development of PreFEED& FEED including defining project work scope and schedulerequirements and developing detailed estimates leading to fundingappropriation and approval.
    • Stay updated oninternational procedures for Projects Phases Engineering PhasesBidding procedures Procurement Processes Construction Requirementsand Best Practices.
    • Have a comprehensiveunderstanding of contract documents (inclusive of appendicesdrawings and specifications) project execution plans interfacemanagement change management construction sequencing standardsspecifications and project schedules to ensure timely projectcompletion.
    • Review and resolve daytodaycontractors activities related to assigned project work duringconstruction and ensure HSE compliance.
    • Participate in developing civil/structural packagesdeliverables such as plot plans Piping Plans foundation detailsload assessments stress analysis Data Sheets structural detailsBRAs geotechnical & soil tests etc.
    • Provide design input in identifying sizing selecting andprocuring civil/structural materials.
    • Offerdesign input to facilities such as pipe racks substations PIBs(Pipe Infrastructure Buildings) control buildings valve stationsprocess plants for Oil Gas refining NGL (Natural Gas Liquids)utilities etc.
    • Perform change order scopedefinition cost estimation and assist the PM (Project Manager) orCompany representative in the change management process.
    • Review weekly/monthly reports on the status/progress ofcontracts including project costs and schedule. Attend variousproject meetings e.g. progress stakeholders design review valueimprovement.
    • Review project schedulescoordinate/monitor assigned project progress and address belowparcontractor performance.
    • Review coordinatemonitor invoices (claimed vs. actual) and contractorssubmittals.
    • Perform Project Reporting andimplement company initiatives during project execution.
    • Review design/study civil & structural modificationsto the facilities.
    • Provide routine civil &structural (design and construction) support tofacilities.
    • Develop and/or review testingprocedures for civil & structural packages.

    Requirements:

    • This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
    • Hold a Bachelors degreein Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized and approvedprogram (advanced degree preferred).
    • Possessfifteen (15) years of experience in the Oil Gas and refiningindustries with expertise in Civil & Structural Engineering andrecognition as an expert in the field.
      • Thisexperience should include at least five years of field experiencecovering construction precommissioning commissioning startup andoperation.
    • Exhibitexcellent English verbal and written communicationskills.
    • Have Engineering Design &Construction phase experience with a thorough knowledge ofengineering practices and economic principles in applicableInternational Codes Standards and Specifications.
    • Demonstrate a dynamic attitude towards projectimprovements and cost savings.
    • Possess a PMP(Project Management Professional) Certification (desirable but notmandatory).
    • Be flexible and willing to work inmultinational teams and mobilize to different locations includingremote areas as needed.
