CVDEquipment Corporation, located in Central Islip, NY, hasan opportunity for a Sheet Metal Mechanic whowill perform tasks related to the preparation and operation of thePress Brake and PEM Equipment to fabricate Sheet Metal parts whichare used in the manufacture of Semiconductor, Nanotechnology, andIndustrial Deposition ProcessEquipment.

EssentialFunctions:

• Proactivelyadhere to all safety standards and establishedprotocols.
  
• Program,set-up, and operate the Press Brake equipment ensuring accuratecalculations to regulate bend sequences, speed, feed, depth andangle of bends,etc.
  
• Set-upand operate PEM Machine per specifiedrequirements.
  
• Ensureoptimal machine performance and qualitystandards.
  
• Preparemachined parts, tools, sheet metal frames, etc. for continuedfinishing:
  
• Burrsharp edges; hand trim, file, and/orsand
  
• Grainsheetmetal
  
• Cleansurfaces to be coated orpainted.
  
• Preparepaperwork for productioncontrol.
  
• Performother Sheet Metal fabrication processes as assigned (prep, paintand powder coat, clean equipment and tools,etc.)
  
• Ensureadherence to company manufacturing standards andmethods.
  
• Performhousekeeping tasks and basic upkeep to maintain a clean and orderlywork station; caringfor
  

Requirements

Education& Experience

• HighSchool graduate orequivalent
  
• 1-3years of Sheet Metal fabrication experience operating Press Brakeand PEMmachines.

• Abilityto read blueprints and technicaldrawings-preferred

• Musthave good communication skills and ability to communicate withindividuals at all levels of theorganization.
