Job Description

Job Summary

The Highways Senior Design Engineer shall be literate in CAD, CIVIL 3D and AutoTURN latest versions  and shall have the following skills:

• Managing the design projects independently to deliver on time and within the budget
• Preparation of scope of works and design criteria.
• Adopt QA/ QC checking procedures as per company policy to ensure sound and coordinated design both internally and across other disciplines.
• Conceptualization of road networks, junctions and interchanges based on traffic analysis recommendations for public and private projects
• Have full proficiency and experience in the design of Roads using Civil3D and AutoCad (plans, profiles and grading).
• Design of junctions (Roundabouts, priority junctions, signalized junctions) both horizontally and vertically development of site grading.
• Preparation of road cross sections, generating earthwork quantities.
• Preparation of concept and detailed design of interchanges.
• Design and preparation of road markings and traffic signages drawings
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, and road design engineers
• Prepare the schedule and plan the works for completing within the timelines and allotted budgets
• Have good experience in the BIM modelling of the projects
• Should be able to interact effectively with clients regarding technical matters
• Preparation of power point presentations, progress reports.
• Sound communication and writing skills along with preparing technical reports

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Good working knowledge of Civil3D, AutoTURN and AutoCad.
• ·Minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Understanding of engineering standards, codes of practice and local authorities' guidelines in Abu Dhabi. Also, should be conversant with International design standards like AASHTO and Saudi design standards and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor of Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
