    Wood is currently looking for a Piping Discipline Manager to join our team in Dubai, UAE
    This is a residential position in Dubai, with possible travel to Iraq for Business trips as and when required.
    Role Responsibilities


    • Reports to the Engineering Manager
    • Manage the Piping engineering and design team
    • Single-point responsibility for all piping engineering deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the customers policies and procedures
    • Ensure that the overall project is delivered to meet the asset operational needs
    • Provide direction and guidance on all technical queries relating to piping engineering
    • Participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary
    • Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
    • Liaise with the customers Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion
    • Promote safe behaviour at all times
    • Bachelor honours degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institution.
    • Professional accreditation from recognised institute i.e. C Eng (UK), P Eng (USA & Canada), Eur Ing (Europe) or equivalent preferred.
    • Minimum of 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industries
    • Strong working knowledge of international codes and standards.
    • Familiar with the latest design engineering and analytical techniques/software.
    • Experience across all engineering phases (Concept/FEED/detail).
    • Onshore brownfield Middle East experience.
    • Proven track record in planning, coordinating and supervising teams of discipline engineers in oil and gas projects
