    Description
    • Provides comprehensive anddiligent surgical care to all assigned patients, including pre- andpost-operative care and such surgical procedures as are withinincumbent's competence.
    • Performsprofessional duties at the Out-PatientDepartment.
    • Provides consultation services tophysicians and other surgeons and specialists on in- or out-patientcases assigned to incumbent.
    • Assumesafter-hours responsibility for the care of surgical cases and makesdaily rounds for those hospitalized.
    • Refers to,or consults with, other surgeons on those cases that require morespecialized diagnostic or therapeutic procedures as the need fortheir expertise arise.
    • Adheres to the Bylawsand Rules and Regulations of the Medical Department and assuresthat work performed is in keeping with the established standards ofthe Joint Commission on Accreditation ofHospitals.
    • Consults with the anesthesiologiston the choice of anesthesia to beused.
    • Maintains complete and accurate recordsof all cases.
    • Participates in and contributesto in-service activities such as lectures, conferences and roundsand participates and contributes
