Description

Engineers should be aware of rig procedures and policies.

Report submission to Drilling unit and other party during disassembly, inspection and scope of work with the compliance of safety, API, MODU rules and codes for standards and testing requirements.

Responsible for QA

Pre-Commissioning, commissioning, and testing.
Review prosed equipment overhauling of scope of work and delivery schedules.
Confirm hold points, subcontractors' qualifications.
Proper documentation and timely communication with progress.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computergenerated reports.
Confirm specification, drawing, documentation with overhauling repair process for the QA works.
Responsible for testing and trailing, verifying materials.
Witness prototype testing of rig equipment, Following OEM/ API requirements.
To review & approve records of overhauling, of equipment repair and inspection.
To witness prototype testing of drilling equipment.

- _To witness _pressure and proof loading for the fabrication process.

To witness final testing and functional testing of completed units, API procedures.
MTR reports to be provided during overhauling, fabrication etc.
Equipment installation and Commissioning.
Pressure test to be conducted in the group, examining the new fabricated piping system.
All pressure relief and safety valves are to be tested.
Mud pump Operational testing agreed by the engineer, Mast assembly and raising agreed by the engineer with final report including welding, bolting, torquing, etc. with turnover sheaves assembly for hoisting equipment.
Rotational check: verify both directions.
Rotational test :100% rated motor speed in both directions for at least 5minutes with OEM specifications.
New brake burnishing test: TO be performed with brake clamping force, drum speed, RPM, motor speed.
Brake verification: After brake burnishing test consider brake clamping force, drum speed, RPM, motor speed, results in brushing percentage of lining contract, surface and verification.
Brake verification, test to be done for drum / motor load, associated with caliper slippage of monitoring and recording.
Performance brakeholding test and emergency brake test to be performed.
Stimulate loss of hydraulic supply or brake failures, equipment for hoisting, lifting, rotating, pipe handling as a part of drilling system with API spec.
All drilling system and equipment for proper certification, API rules.
Performance test, brake holding test to be performed.
Commissioning for drilling system, proper hookup and testing for the drilling equipment before commissioning.
Necessary communication procedures before commissioning, spillage, fire and other.
Satisfactory functioning of drilling system at the rig, including the below all.
Well control system, Marine system, solid control, hoisting lifting and rotating and pipe handling system, power system & miscellaneous support system.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 5yrs of Mechanical/ Electrical engineering role, preferred from OIL & Gas background.
Good knowledge in Assembly, Commissioning, Equipment installation and commissioning, Testing.
Knowledge in drilling and rig work is required.
Education: Bachelors in any degree in any engineering
Mechanical/ Electrical.
