    Description

    Join our team if you are a prosthodontist whocan assess and examine patients to make diagnoses of oralillnesses, diseases, and deformities. Recommendtreatmen.

    ProsthodontistResponsibilities:

    • Examinepatients with X-rays and other equipment to makediagnoses
    • Create charts of patient'smouths
    • Take measurements for prostheses likedentures, crowns, and bridges
    • Make wax modelsof prostheses, and supervise dental technicians and laboratorybench workers in doing so
    • Send models to labcompanies that manufacture prostheses
    • Placeprostheses in patients' mouths, making adjustments tomake them fit properly
    • Repair, rebase, andreline dentures
    • Administer anesthesia, andprescribe medications like antibiotics
    • Conductsurgery to repair structures of the mouth to enable those who havesuffered injuries or diseases to regainfunctions
    • Employ bonding methods to alter theshape of teeth and close gaps between them, to improve function orappearance
    • Treat ailments that cause pain inthe face andjaw

    ProsthodontistRequirements:

    • BachelorDegree in Dentistry and Specializationcertificate
    • Make and fit dentures, crowns, andbridges
    • Work with other dentists and dentalassistants
    • 3 to 4 years of residencyprogram
    • Must be licensed topractice
    • Good communication and interpersonalskills.
