    Job Title: Assistant Chef

    Location: Flare Burger, Fujairah, UAE

    Job Type: Full-time

    Reports To: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager

    Job Summary:

    Flare Burger is seeking a passionate and reliable Assistant Chef to support our kitchen operations in delivering high-quality gourmet burgers and side dishes. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the preparation and cooking of burgers, sides, and sauces according to Flare Burger's recipes and standards.
    • Ensure consistent portion sizes, presentation, and quality of all menu items.
    • Support the Head Chef with inventory management, receiving, and stock rotation.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.
    • Follow food safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines.
    • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
    • Help in daily opening and closing duties of the kitchen.
    • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a line cook, commis chef, or assistant chef (burger or fast-casual experience preferred).
    • Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
    • Familiarity with UAE food hygiene and safety standards.
    • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
    • Team player with strong communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Culinary diploma or equivalent certification is a plus.
    • Knowledge of international burger trends and creative input on specials is a bonus.
    • Arabic and/or English language proficiency.
