JobSummary

Makes deliveries tocustomers using a company-provided or rental vehicle. Maintainsrecords of deliveries, inspects and maintains delivery vehicles,and provides customer service on order and delivery issues. Thisposition requires operation of a company or rental vehicle, andthis operation may be done during the average work week. Ifselected for this position, the company will continuously monitorMotor Vehicle Records (MVRs). A requirement of this position is anacceptable MVR status and a valid driver'slicense.

Major Tasks,Responsibilities, And KeyAccountabilities

• Delivers customer orders safelywithin a service area, including interfacing with customers onorder issues.
• Loads inventory into trucks andunloads orders at customer sites using powered and non-poweredmaterial handling equipment.
• Reviews ordermanifests to ensure customer orders and daily routes are completeand accurate.
• Performs pre- and post-tripinspections in accordance with Department of Transportationregulations and internal policies andprocedures.
• Maintains routine contact with thedistribution center to receive instructions on deliveryinterruptions, such as traffic congestion or missingorders.
• Prepares and maintains vehicle andcustomer order records in accordance with company policies andprocedures.
• Contacts customers to provideupdates on delivery statuses.
• Provides feedbackto management on escalated customer service and sales-relatedissues.

• Under general supervision,exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies,procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular reviewof output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
  
  

WorkEnvironment

• Typically located in a comfortableenvironment but with regular exposure to factors that may causenoticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness,such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, andfumes.
• Requires intermittent periods duringwhich continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking,standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material orequipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) orawkward.
• Typically requires overnight travelless than 10% of the time.
  
  

Education AndExperience

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.Specialized skills training/certification may be required.Generally 2-5 years of experience in area ofresponsibility.
