    Job title: Operational Risk Analyst

    Operational Risk Analyst Job Description

    This role involves managing and maintaining the overall Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing a centre of excellence for ORM, working closely with senior stakeholders to implement the ORM Framework, and providing challenge and oversight on its output.

    • This role requires a proactive and confident individual with 2-3 years experience in risk management banking activities and systems management who can communicate and build strong relationships across the wider business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategy Framework and Control Governance:

    • Support implementation of the Operational Risk Management policy and procedure within the organization.
    • Identify and timely log incidents through root cause analysis, ensuring timely documentation and communication, and booking operational losses through activation of general ledgers.
    • Assess key operational risk exposures through management of issues and timely implementation of actions.
    • Support business units in identifying and assessing key risk indicators.
    • Update and monitor operational risk data using the Group Operational Risk Management platform.
    • Review business units policies & procedures, change management, and advisory assignment.

    Program Management:

    • Sustain the implementation and sustainment of the ORM program and tools such as Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Issues & Action Management etc.

    Training & Awareness:

    • Develop training material and conduct training sessions relating to ORM policies and tools to ensure adequate understanding and awareness throughout the organization.
    • Provide GRC system-related technical training to business units as required.

    GRC System Management:

    • Define user roles & permissions, monitor system performance, apply upgrades, provide support, troubleshoot errors, and escalate complex issues.
    • Configure risk compliance and control frameworks, customize workflows, reports, and dashboards, support system integration, manage data import/export integrity mapping, and migration.
    • Generate reports, dashboards, audit trails, and act as liaison between risk compliance and IT departments for planning and implementation of GRC enhancements or new modules.

    Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge:

    • Bachelor's Degree; Postgraduate Diploma or Master's Degree preferred.
    • Risk and control experience in a large financial institution.
    • Awareness of leading operational risk practices and regulatory requirements.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills.
    • Understanding of banking processes and products.
    • Advanced computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
