Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting transactions and prepare budget forecasts
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings and publish financial statements in time
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure timely bank payments
  • Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
  • Audit financial transactions and documents
  • Complying with all company, local, state, policies, federal accounting and financial regulations.
  • Compiling, analyzing, and reinforce financial data confidentiality and reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Create & manage periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
  • Presenting data to managers, investors, and other entities.
  • Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
  • Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
  • Assisting management in the decisionmaking process by preparing budgets and financial forecast

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelors/Master's Degree in accounting, finance or relevant
  • Minimum 12 years of experience as an Accountant
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
  • Handson experience with accounting software like Fresh Books and QuickBooks
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
  • Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.

Salary:
AED2, AED3,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
