Role Objective:


  • To secure projects for the Company by developing and maintaining good client relations and market intelligence in line with the company's growth strategy.
  • To oversee the process of tendering, estimation and engineering such that these processes are executed in a professional, cost effective and timely manner.
  • To ensure the transfer of job details and documents to the rest of the Company in a comprehensive and timely manner.
  • Responsible for introducing creative solutions that would reduce the manpower requirements, cost and/or time of projects.
  • Responsible for the training and development of all staff in his division.

Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:


STRATEGIC:

1) Develops the Business Development plan and market strategy of the Company with the management

2) Coordinates with the Corporate Office in organizing technical seminars for clients, consultants, and the market that enhance the Company's image and position in the market

3) Enhances the promotion of Design/Build concept with consultants and developers

4) Considers creative solutions to tender requirements that would reduce manpower requirements, cost, and/or time

5) Studies scope of work and tender documents to ensure that all work has been quoted accordingly

6) Negotiates with client/consultant the commercial and technical terms of the tender/contract when required


OPERATIONAL:

1) Develops and maintains strong relations in the market with consultants, clients, and authorities

2) Decides with the Business Development Manager on which quotations to focus on

3) Overlooks the pricing of quotes and decides on margins with the General Manager

4) Negotiates with client/consultant the commercial and technical terms of the tender/contract

5) Maintains contact, in coordination with the Operations Manager (or Project Managers) with clients of current jobs

6) For Design/Build contracts, coordinates with the Business Development Managerand the Engineering Manager in the selection and assignment of the Consultant.

7) Ensures with the Engineering Manager that the Engineering function is up to date with changes in the international standards and design codes used in the market

8) Ensures the completion of the Business Development and Engineering sections


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
