- Evaluate inventory levels, developefficient inventory management practices, and coordinate theordering and acquisition of materials.
- Prepareorders and reports to monitor and control suppliesinventory.
- Maintain accurate records ofmaterial purchased, costs, anddeliveries.
- Shorten lead times for procurementand production related items.
- Resolve supplierinquiries and disputes.
- Establish purchaseorders with vendors, track deliveries and orderconfirmations.
- Analyze and identifyalternatives leading to cost reduction, improve efficiency andprocess improvements.
- Research and recommendbetter source of material and cost-savingopportunities.
- Make sure material procurementpractices are conducted within the organization'squality, safety, and ethical standards.
- Monitormaterial inventory for various activities like initial stockcounts,cycle counts, re-order points, and ABCanalyses.
- Collaborate with management and otherdepartments to ensure a smoothworkflow.
