Develops and executes in partnership with designer styles from initial concept to productionDevelops and sources in partnership with designer fabric and trims
Manage all samples to ensure their movement through the product development process in coordination with the development calendar
Work with factories to achieve desired costing and margin goals without compromising design
Travel to factories as needed to review seasonal development progress
Manage team of Pattern Makers, Cutters, Sampling Stitchers
Experienced in different finishing, stitching, composition of fabrics, and styling.
Understand and know to read Tech Packs, Measurement Sheets, Production forms
Follow Process and procedure
Know how to Use Excel
Strategically manage vendors to make sure sample deadlines are met
Strategically manage in partnership with design bill of material (BOMs), fabric and trim, issuing trials, tests, and color approvals
Build and maintain development calendar, and cost charts for all categories
Identify and troubleshoot costing/quality control challenges along with design and resolve with vendors
Negotiate best cost with vendors
Manages all communication with vendors to ensure daily clarity and product status updates
Develop and manage the process for ordering bulk fabric and trim to ensure orders can be cut and made
Build strong relationships with mills to obtain care, content, sample yardage requests, bulk minimums, negotiate prices, lead-times, and delivery
Positive, enthusiastic and passionate about the apparel industry
Knowledge and understanding of fabrics, construction and print techniques
3-5 years of experience in production or product development
Salary:
AED1.00 - AED2.00 per month
