    Description
    The Senior NetworkEngineer is responsible for providing a service to clients byproactively identifying and resolving technical incidents andproblems. Through pre-emptive service incident and resolutionactivities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements,operational practices, and quality assurance this role willmaintain a high level of service to clients. Their primaryobjective is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA)conditions. The Senior Network Engineer s responsible for managingtickets of low to highcomplexity.

    Requirements

    KeyRoles andResponsibilities:

    1. Ensurethat assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured,installed, tested, andoperational
    2. Perform necessarychecks, apply monitoring tools and respond toalerts
    3. Identify problems and errorsprior to or when it occurs and log all such incidents in a timelymanner with the required level ofdetail
    4. Assist in analyzing,assigning, and escalating supportcalls
    5. Investigate third line supportcalls assigned and identify the root cause of incidents andproblems
    6. Report and escalate issuesto 3rd party vendors ifnecessary
    7. Provide onsite technicalsupport to clients and provide field engineering services toclients
    8. Conduct a monthly randomreview of incidents and service requests, analyze and recommendimprovement in quality
    9. Providecontinuous feedback to clients and affected parties and update allsystems and/or portals as prescribed byNTT
    10. Proactively identifyopportunities for work optimization including opportunities forautomation of work
    11. Provide systemdocumentation and diagrams as well as maintenancedocumentation.
    12. Implement changemanagement procedures that accommodate system architecturechanges.
    13. Analyzes and detects risksand vulnerabilities associated with new technologies, processes,and applications.
    14. Assists indeveloping and maintaining standards andprocedures.
    15. Provides networksecurity, network penetration testing, and traffic analysisservices to large commercialorganizations
    16. Preparing monthly workstatus reports and updating technology-specificdocuments

    AdvantageousWorkingKnowledge

    1. Enterprise-scaleLAN systems (STP, VTP, Port-channel, Trunking, VLANs, VACL s,Stacking)
    2. Understanding Protocolssuch as (HTTP/S, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, NTP, SSH, FTP, and otherweb-based protocols)
    3. Networkingtechnologies, principles, and protocols based on OSI model, TCP/IP,UDP, IP addressing and MAC addresses,etc.
    4. Advanced Understanding ofRouting Protocols such as (EIGRP &OSPF)
    5. Advanced Knowledge ofEnterprise Wi-Fitechnologies
    6. Advanced Knowledge ofCisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) &TACACS
    7. Advanced Knowledge ofEnterprise Monitoring (Spectrum, CiscoPrime)
    8. Advanced Knowledge ofincident management systems
    9. Moderateyears of relevant managed servicesexperience
    10. Moderate level knowledgein ticketing tools preferably ServiceNow

    Qualifications

    1. Advanceddiploma, degree, or relevant qualification in IT/Computing (ordemonstrated equivalent workexperience)
    2. CCNA and CCNP enterprisequalification required
    3. Fortinet NSE4(NSE5 NSE6 and NSE7 will be anadvantage)

    ITILv4

    CCIE Enterprise or Wireless(advantageous)

    RequiredExperience:

    1. Demonstratedwork experience
    2. Demonstratedexperience required in Engineering function within a medium tolarge ICT organization
    3. Demonstratedexperience of ManagedServices
    4. Demonstrated workingknowledge of ITILprocesses
    5. Demonstrated experienceworking with vendors and/or 3rdparties
