    Career Opportunities in Islamic Banking

    Head of Mortgage Sales

    The role requires a seasoned professional to lead and manage a team of sales representatives, ensuring they adhere to Sharjah Islamic Bank's policies and guidelines. The primary objective is to achieve strategic targets, drive business development, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Development and Aggregator Relations

    Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance business growth, promoting direct sales and increasing market share for improved profitability. Establish new aggregator relationships while maintaining existing ones, collaborating closely with product teams to implement market best practices and grow the mortgage finance business through market insights and competition analysis.

    People Management

    Supervise daily employee performance, providing necessary support and guidance. Ensure employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to meet performance expectations.

    Performance Monitoring

    Review internal reports and assess performance against targets, offering feedback and guidance for further actions as needed. Foster a committed and reliable team by providing constructive feedback and delegating responsibilities based on individual capabilities.

    Customer Relationship Management

    Target business sources and engage decision-makers to attract new business, cultivating and sustaining strong professional relationships with both existing and prospective customers. Ensure their needs are met and promote additional bank products and services.

    HR Development & Administration

    Review employee performance to determine strengths and weaknesses, ensuring provision of adequate training and development programs to enhance and upgrade their capabilities. Participate in sourcing and attracting qualified candidates, familiarizing them with the bank, its products, and services before they assume their full positions.

    Required Skills

    • Effective time management, meeting deadlines, and achieving goals.
    • Maintaining high ethical standards.
    • Taking responsibility for handling critical work demands.
    • Removing obstacles to efficient resource use.
    • Assisting in goal establishment, accomplishment, and evaluation.
    • Sound knowledge of Islamic Banking principles.
    • Knowledge of banking operations and control procedures.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Deep understanding of banking rules and regulations.
    • Human relations skills.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • At least 12-14 years of Retail Banking experience, with 6 years in retail business.
    • Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
