    About the Role:
    The candidate shall be assigned to an integrated climate change team for projects in the Middle East and Europe

    Alpin Limited is a multidisciplinary, sustainable cleantech consultancy based in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi.

    The local team is composed of a diverse range of qualifications, including CCPs, LCCs, ESG Consultants, and trained Decarbonization professionals.

    We also have commissioning authorities and sustainability consultants based in MENA.

    Our current projects include development of Sustainability & ESG reports, strategies & policies, Decarbonization Roadmaps, Net Zero Advisory, and development of comprehensive sustainability frameworks for public and private sectors.

    comReports Directly to:

    Head of Climate Change & PolicyRoles and Responsibilities:General:
    Member of Climate Change & Policies team.
    Support business development efforts such as stakeholder engagement, events, public speaking, and expanding the network and brand.
    Responsible for ensuring invoicing targets for assigned projects are met and on track.
    Main focal point of contact with clients on assigned projects.
    Implement project management principles (scheduling, resource leveling, effective meetings, and client relations).Quality control and review of reports.
    Prepare and deliver technical and promotional presentations.
    Deliver White Papers as required by the Head of Department.
    Willingness and ability to travel for client workshops and events.
    Maintain required KPIs and strive for continued personal development.


    Technical:
    Conduct research on ESG trends, software, best practices, regulations, and industry benchmarks.
    ESG data gathering, organizing, and analyzing, including environmental metrics, social impact indicators, and corporate governance information.
    Perform assessments and analysis for ESG strategy and reporting.
    Develop content for ESG reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
    Review and manage sustainability KPIs/requirements implementation.
    Develop Sustainability strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps for projects, masterplans, public/private entities.
    Develop bespoke sustainability policies and standards addressing various aspects.
    Develop GHG inventory and conduct assessments across all scopes.
    Develop decarbonization and Net Zero strategies.
    Willingness and ability to expand areas of expertise to accommodate project requirements.

    In addition to your responsibility to follow ALPIN's Integrated Management System, every employee at ALPIN is required to familiarize themselves with ALPIN's Environmental Impact Assessment and contribute towards minimizing their individual environmental impact in the course of their work.

    Skills:
    Strong networking skills. Effective negotiation & persuasion skills. Knowledge of the local market, including legislation, competitors, and major potential clients.

    Knowledge of local challenges, mindsets, and culture to better navigate negotiations and stakeholder engagements Familiarity with and experience in GRI, TCFD, IFRS and similar ESG reporting standards Familiarity with and experience in GHG Protocol Capable of developing strategies and recommending measures that aim at reducing, mitigating, and avoiding emissions.

    Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with both clients and consultants. 5-8 years of demonstrated project experience. Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (Environmental, Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture). Excellent planning and organization skills are required for our fast-paced environment. Ability to self-manage. Strong communication skills (Written, electronic & spoken).


    Additional Qualifications:
    Relevant Training and Certification in ESG /Net Zero/Climate Change. Highly passionate and motivated to participate in combatting climate change. Strong background in climate risk and associated global initiatives. Hands-on engineering and project management skills. UAE Driving License and means of transportation.
