- Performs the professional dutiesof a pediatrician.
- To perform his duties in thePediatric Outpatient Clinic evaluating patients on a dailybasis.
- Performs general or special examinationsand other procedures covering the full scope of the field ofpediatrics. Orders laboratory examinations and x-rays, determinesdiagnosis, prescribes nursing and dietary care necessary, orders orapplies such preventive measures asrequired.
- Serves as pediatric consultant toSurgery and OB/Gyn to in- and out-patients as assigned and/orrequired.
- Serves as a specialist in pediatricsproviding consultative services to the other Medical Services.Provides technical assistance with pediatricpatients.
- Reviews journals, texts orperiodicals in order to keep current on latest techniques,procedures, drugs and therapy.
- Participates inscheduled in-service training programs and in the regularPhysicians conference.
- Provides on-callemergency coverage for pediatricemergencies.
- Performs other miscellaneousrelated duties as requested.
