Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently looking to hire an Interface Coordinator to join our team in Abu Dhabi. Below are some details about the role.


Responsibilites

  • Provides Interface coordination support between internal and external stakeholders during project execution to meet project objectives and track progress of action items
  • Responsible for technical interfaces with different contractors and existing facilities in coordination with Project Engineering Manager, Project Manager(s), and Interface Manager as appropriate
  • Propose and recommend appropriate solution as necessary to maintain compliance with local authority requirements
  • Negotiate & manage complicated interface issued among different project phases and the existing facilities
  • Develop, Implement and maintain a technical interface management system (IMS) and technical interface Control procedure in consultation with the Interface manager and with support of PMT team
  • Develop interface objectives, strategies and performance indicators to ensure that the company's discrete projects are enabled to deliver safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with the agreed project requirements
  • Coordinate technical interfaces in a complex Onshore/Offshore Brownfield and Greenfield major project and interfaces arising from technical deviation/changes/variations with relevant contractors
  • Serve as the point of contact for the Discrete Project Interface Coordinators with regard to interface management plans, processes, agreements and progress updates
  • Provide leadership and management for the interface team to ensure safe, cost effective and timely resolution of all interfaces
  • Ensure that company policies, procedures and controls are adhered to at all times
  • Manage key project interfaces to ensure successful and timely resolution of all issues and lead the development of and approve all interface registers and reports
  • Devise own work methods and working practices independently within the framework of established policies and guidelines in order achieve project objectives
  • Independent authority to manage the interfaces for on time resolution to the satisfaction of all parties
  • Responsible for complex interface problem resolution during the Redevelopment
  • Exposed to different cultures, backgrounds and environments. Need to attend to and resolve conflicts, challenges and problems related to a large multicultural and multidiscipline technical workforce
  • Exposed to Offshore/Onshore work environments during construction, installation, hookup, commissioning, startup, and handover
  • Activities executed with the highest required level of confidentiality

Skills / Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University, higher degree would be advantageous
  • Membership in a recognized professional engineering association/institution would be advantageous
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in engineering, project management and execution of major and mega Oil & Gas projects, of which a minimum of 5 years' experience in project management/interface leadership roles with proven track record for major and mega Oil & Gas projects
  • Previous experience of working in the Middle East specially with thorough knowledge of Das Island ( LNG) facilities and related projects
  • Experienced in developing and leading effective project interface organizations
  • Experienced in the implementation of industry best practices and Company's systems, processes and standards
  • Extensive skills in management and leadership, team building, effective communication, conflict resolution and presentations
