Overview:


The Inventory Controller cum Procurement Executive plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory levels and the timely procurement of goods and services for the restaurant business.

This position involves overseeing inventory control procedures, managing procurement activities, and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers.


Responsibilities:

1.

Inventory Management:

_

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet operational needs while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory control measures to prevent theft, spoilage, or loss.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and frontofhouse staff to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.

Procurement:

  • Source and purchase food items, beverages, supplies, equipment, and other materials required for restaurant operations.
  • Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favourable terms and pricing.
  • Place purchase orders in a timely manner and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Cost Management:

  • Analyze pricing trends, negotiate competitive rates, and seek costsaving opportunities.
  • Work closely with the finance department to track expenses, manage budgets, and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and control inventory carrying costs to optimize profitability.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all purchased items meet quality standards and comply with food safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of received goods to check for quality, quantity, and condition. Address any quality issues with suppliers and take corrective action as necessary.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchases, and supplier transactions.
  • Prepare reports on inventory status, procurement activities, and budget performance.
  • Analyse data and provide insights to inform decisionmaking and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. 2 to 3 years of proven experience in inventory management and procurement, preferably in the restaurant or food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures, procurement processes, and vendor management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools.
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problemsolving abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Salary:
From AED4,000.00 per month
