    The Inspector will perform a broadcross‐section of complex technical and administrative activitiesrequiring extensive experience and specialization in QualityControl and Quality Assurance inspection of construction work ininfrastructure projects.

    JobDuties

    • Analyzesapplicable codes, standards and project contract documents andmonitors construction activities to ensurecompliance.
    • Provides general inspection on allconstruction and subcontractor work to assure a safe andworkmanlike operation.
    • Verifies equipmentsettings, alignment, testing and energizationrequirements.
    • Be familiar with theproject's detailed drawings, specifications, and healthand safety measures together with any associatedupdates.
    • Ensure the contractor/s compliancewith the standards and specifications of the contractdocuments.
    • Maintain records of the contractorhuman and equipment daily resources.
    • Undertakeall site supervision and inspections when required or instructed bythe Resident Engineer (RE) or the Assistant Resident Engineer(ARE).
    • Liaise and daily follow up with thecontractor. This is to ensure the contractor is managing itsresources, health and safety, and equipment needs on thesite.
    • Prepare daily report to the RE or ARE.This includes works orders, materials delivery, and dailyinspections program.
    • Follow up and implementany site instructions made by the RE andARE.
    • Apply and implement all quality controlsand quality procedures of the site.
    • Prepare anysite measurements and surveying checks needed by the RE or ARE forpipes alignments and levels.
    • Co-ordinate andco-operate with client project manager during their siteinspections in the presence of the RE orARE.
    • Assist the ARE and RE in the preparationof any correspondences in compliance with the contract documentsand site requirements.
    • Where site problems arefound, work with the RE or ARE to resolve thempromptly.
    • Monitor the start-up, commissioningand handover of the site works. Including maintaining records ofthe project milestones.
    • Maintain records ofmaterials tests performed and executedworks.
    • Audit inspections for conformity tocontract documents and contractor submittedplans.
    • Experience in wet /dry utilitiesworks.
