About the role:

baraka interns work alongside industry leaders on projects that deliver significant impact to our product & users. Leveraging your knowledge while providing you with opportunities to expand your skill-set. Interns are an important part of our culture and our recruiting pipeline. What you'll do:


  • You write clean, wellstructured code
  • Design, plan, and build projects under the guidance of an experienced engineering mentor
  • Work on our platform for next generation customer present payments
  • Have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies stack [Java and Spring].
  • Gain firsthand exposure to the multiple facets of the software development lifecycle working within an Agile environment that embraces Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Development and QA automation

Requirements:


  • Enrolled in a BA/BS or Masters in Computer Science or similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
  • Possess a minimum GPA requirement of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to solve hard and ambiguous problems
  • Previous internship experience in a fastpaced startup environment
  • Familiarity with software development and design principles
  • Java, programming and Microservices skills (Backend), Swift or Kotlin or Flutter (Mobile)
