- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Perform a full range of otological surgical procedures, including:
- Cholesteatoma ear surgeries
- Tympanoplasty with ossicular chain reconstruction (ossiculoplasty)
- Mastoidectomy/tympanomastoidectomy/mastoid obliteration
- Cochlear implants
- Stapedotomy/Stapedectomy
- Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA)
- Bonebridge implants
- CSF otorrhoea repair
- Endolymphatic sac decompression for Meniere's disease
- Exostosis canaloplasty
- Facial nerve decompression/facial nerve reconstruction
- Fistula repair
- Provide pre- and postoperative care, including patient education and counseling.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in research and academic activities.
- MBBS/MBChB or equivalent qualification.
- FRCPath or equivalent qualification (Tier 1).
- Full registration as a consultant (or eligible for registration within six months of interview).
- 5 years of experience in the same capacity.
- Clinical and academic experience in a known university hospital.
- Extensive experience in otological surgery.
- Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring residents and fellows.
- Advanced training in specific areas of otology.
