Key Account Engineer - Agriculture Sector

Position Overview:


Responsibilities:


  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key clients in the agriculture sector who utilize greenhouse technology and openfield farming. Gain an indepth understanding of their unique needs, challenges, and aspirations, and serve as the primary technical point of contact.
  • Greenhouse Expertise: Leverage your profound knowledge of greenhouse technology, climate control, irrigation systems, and crop management to offer comprehensive guidance and innovative solutions to clients. Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailormade solutions that optimize greenhouse operations.
  • Customized Solutions: Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for enhancing greenhouse efficiency, crop yields, and sustainability. Devise and design custom solutions that align with clients' goals, incorporating advanced greenhouse practices.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the endtoend implementation of greenhouse solutions, coordinating with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless execution within agreed timelines and budgets. Provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed during project implementation.
  • Educational Support: Deliver training sessions to clients on the effective utilization, maintenance, and troubleshooting of greenhouse technologies. Empower clients with the knowledge required to achieve optimal results from their systems.
  • Technical Presentations: Deliver engaging technical presentations to key clients, highlighting the advantages and outcomes of our greenhouse solutions. Translate intricate concepts into accessible language for various audiences.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed about the latest developments, trends, and breakthroughs in greenhouse technology and agricultural practices. Use your knowledge to contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and services.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, project statuses, and technical support requests. Generate reports to track key performance metrics and offer insights to management.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Horticulture, or related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • 23 years of experience in a technical role within the agriculture sector, specializing in greenhouse technology.
  • Expertise in greenhouse systems, climate control, irrigation methods, container farming and crop management techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in project management, enabling efficient handling of multiple projects concurrently.
  • Keen problemsolving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools for technical presentations and project coordination.
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and project support.
  • Passion for sustainable agriculture practices and greenhouse innovation.

Experience:

Irrigation Sales: 2 years (preferred)

  • Agricultural equipment sales: 2 years (preferred)
  • Agricultural sales: 2 years (preferred)
