    Safetyand Facilities Manager

    DEPARTMENT:Operations and HumanResources

    SUMMARY

    Reportingto the Vice President of Human Resources, the Safety and FacilitiesManager is responsible for the management and oversight of thecompany s environmental health, and safety These programs includesafety training and OSHA compliance, security, environmentalregulations and

    PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES

    SafetyandSecurity

    1. Establishesand promotes the maintenance of safe and healthy workingconditions, and recommends measures to reduce or eliminateindustrial incidents and health hazards in compliance with OSHAregulations
    2. PreparesOSHA documentation including 300, 300A and other related complianceforms
    3. Overseesthe company s safety and occupational health program to ensurecompliance with established policies and governmentalregulations
    4. Conductsergonomic analysis and recommends changes in work areasaccordingly
    5. Coordinatesinspections and tours of facilities to detect existing or potentialaccident, fire, and health hazards; and recommends corrective orpreventativemeasures
    6. Supervisesand conducts employee training in accident and fireprevention/protection and other safetyprograms
    7. Workscollaboratively with manufacturing to ensure the properimplementation and management of the company s 5Sprogram
    8. Investigatesincidents andinjuries
    9. Providessupport in administration of worker s compensationprogram
    10. Responsiblefor worker s compensation claims administration and audits, reportpreparation, and compilation ofstatistics
    11. Providesdata for government requiredreporting
    12. Mayserve as a liaison with local fire departments, area hospitals, andother outside agencies regarding employee safety and healthprograms
    13. Overseesbuilding security and any related vendor contracts includingbuilding security alarm, camera security system and third-partysecurityagency

    EnvironmentalCompliance

    1. Ensuresthat all environmental licensing is current suchas:
      1. Waterand stormrunoff
      2. Environmentalcertifications related to production of furniture such asCalifornia s flammability requirement (CAL 117) and labelingrequirements under thelaw

    KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS &EXPERIENCE

    1. Experiencewith implementing safety programs
    2. Experiencein contractsmanagement
    3. Experiencein training and developing safety/security compliance relatedprograms
    4. Abilityto organize and prioritize tasks andprojects
    5. Excellentverbal and writtencommunication
    6. Abilityto interact collaboratively withothers

    MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS

    • BA/BSin Management or related field
    • Minimum5 years of EH&S experience in manufacturing
