Position Summary


As an ESG Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics for GFG alliance.

Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing data architecture, developing databases, creating extract-transform-load (ETL) processes, and managing data operations.

To succeed in this role, you should have expertise in ESG reporting metrics and frameworks. Your experience will include reporting against GHG protocol, emission factors library management, and International ESG standards.

You will also be responsible for building and reporting on data quality metrics while supporting in the efficiency and cadence of global reporting.


Responsibilities:


  • Working closely with the Head of Risk & Sustainability and Head of Carbon to turn ESG data from various underlying businesses into actionable business insights
  • Work with senior stakeholders to understand and help to challenge and define their data requirements
  • Build good working relationships with representatives from the underlying businesses to understand the data provided by their businesses and any potential limitations.
  • Knowledge of the Entire Data Analytics Framework right from Data Sourcing, Standardisation/Transformation, Data Modelling to Data Analysis and Visualisation.
  • Ability to work on large and complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of Correlation and Regression Analysis, Hypothesis Testing, Statistical Inference
  • Ability to build Descriptive Analytics stage and Solutionize the graduation journey / framework of ESG Analytics towards Diagnostic, Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics stages.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across regions and functions including IT, to enable humble sourcing of flat files and in the process map dependencies, variables and solutions for larger enterprise level Data Engineering works as a starting point / support to the Data Engineers as and when they are onboarded on the project.
  • Solutionise Data Transformation and propose process changes if required to better scale up / harmonize data at speed across group entities.
  • Demonstrate expertise across Environmental reporting metrics

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Engineering is desirable
  • Excellent Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Intermediate Power Point skills
  • Basic knowledge & experience of SQL and Power BI (preferred)
  • Critical Thinking, Logical Reasoning
  • Diverse Stakeholder Management skills
  • Good Communications skills
  • Process Agnostic & Path Finder Approach
  • Mathematical Aptitude
  • Understanding of various ESG reporting frameworks and how they interact
  • Knowledge of GHG Protocol
