Description

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and dimensions.

Measure, cut, and shape steel components using hand tools, power tools, and cutting torches.
Fit and assemble steel components according to layout plans, ensuring accurate alignment and proper fit.
Weld or bolt steel components together to create structures, supports, frameworks, and other components.
Install fabricated steel components on construction sites, including positioning, aligning, and securing them in place.
Inspect fabricated steel components for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.
Follow safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as engineers, architects, and contractors, to coordinate project activities and ensure deadlines are met.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any maintenance or repair needs.
Clean and organize work areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
