Job Description
The Technician - Power Generation is responsible for maintaining and repairing power generation equipment. They perform regular inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance of generators, turbines, and related systems. The Technician - Power Generation also assists in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of power generation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in generators, turbines, and control systems.
• Conduct tests and inspections to ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for equipment spare parts and service.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of power generation systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
• Respond to emergency calls and perform repairs as required.
• Provide technical support to other team members and operators.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

• Diploma or vocational training in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Proven experience as a power generation technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of power generation systems, including generators and turbines.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
