- Manage and coordinate engineeringassignments pertaining to large offshore Oil and Gas Projectsincluding planning, developing, designing, and construction or anyother aspect of engineering work. Provide technical information andsupport to other engineering and technical staff applyingstandards, processes and techniques.
- Developsconceptual and preliminary engineering and design, Manages,coordinates, and facilitates the engineering, design, contracting,construction, commissioning, startup, and post startup support,Provides strategic, expert advice and consultation to businessdevelopment and operations personnel concerning the development,engineering, design and implementation of project, Develops projectplans, schedules, and cost estimates, prepares and manages projectbudgets and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.Reports project success and challenges to management. Capable ofmanaging multiple contractor interfaces and a smooth transition tostable operations of the assets.
- To achieve thedesign of a plant fit for the purpose, on time and onbudget.
- To manage a multi-disciplinarytechnical team efficiently and in a good workingspirit.
- To anticipate the problems that mayarise, and be prepared to react quickly.
- To setOrganization Chart in line with the size of the Project and recruitadequate resources to get the required quality of thedeliverables.
- To have the working proceduresissued.
- To set a plan with the EngineeringContractor to have all deliverables issued on time and check it ona regular basis.
- To organize and controlregular checking of the quality of thedeliverables.
- To check that the design isdeveloped in line with the Pre-Project and the statement ofrequirements.
- To organize, control and checkthe inter-discipline coordination and the co-ordination with othersections of the Project.
- To make the necessarytechnical arbitration between the different disciplines in case ofconflict of interests and keep all partiesinformed.
- To report to the Project Manager on aregular basis and when decisions with an impact on the strategy ofthe Project are needed.
- To liaise with safetyconsultant, QA consultant, Operator Rep., Commissioning Manager, toensure that the plant is safe, operable andmaintainable.
- To implement quality assuranceprocedures.
- To interface with people working ina large range of trades (operations, cost, schedule, procurement,contracts, construction, quality assurance,etc...).
- Strong experience on engineeringmanagement for complex offshore Oil and Gas Projects preferablywith ADNOC
- Degree in Engineering from arecognized University.
- Proven track of recordof delivering mega offshore projects in UAE or GCCregion
- Must possess people management andleadership skills, have a strong commercial awareness andexperience of implementing company safety and quality managementsystems.
