General Ledger Associate - Abu Dhabi


Find your next role with Adecco We are currently recruiting for GL Associate for our Client into airport services, ground handling and cargo operations.

Purpose


Performing bank reconciliation, inter-company reconciliation, maintaining fixed assets register and supporting in payroll accounting and processing including balance sheet schedules preparation and supporting in day-to-day finance operational requirements for multiple entities.

Accountabilities

  • Performing daily bank reconciliations and preparing bank reconciliation statements.
  • Creating fixed asset numbers, recording fixed assets, posting depreciation, maintaining fixed asset register, performing reconciliation, and providing reports.
  • Working closely with the intercompany finance teams to ensure timely reconciliation of intercompany balances and ensuring accurate and timely recharge of intercompany costs.
  • Support in preparation and processing of monthly payroll, reconciliation of payroll related accounts and providing reports.
  • Preparing the defined benefit obligation valuation for yearend financial reporting purpose.
  • Ensuring that monthly all employee benefit accounting is processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensuring all accounting entries including pension and other employee payments are processed on time.
  • Ensuring all monthly and off cycle payroll payments are processed on a timely basis.
  • Ensuring all month end payroll accounting closing activities are completed and schedules are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support the preparation of Journal Entry documentation.
  • Drive the automation / simplification in the accounting schedules preparation and reduce the number of manual journals by leveraging SAP/MS Dynamics.
  • Working closely with the Group Reporting team for continuously reviewing financial reporting processes for process improvement and automation.
  • Dealing with Internal and External Auditors and resolving any possible queries.
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in the financerelated field required.
  • 5 years of accounting experience including knowledge of computerized accounting system (SAP and MS Dynamics) and MS Excel.
  • 3 years' experience in bank reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation, payroll process and fixed assets management.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • GCC experience is a plus.
