    Job Description

    AECOM are offering an opportunity for a Graduate Legal Assistant to join our exciting team in Dubai working directly with our Senior Counsel for the region.

    Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative assistance to the legal department by gathering, requesting and/or relaying information to internal and external clients.
  • Performs administrative tasks such as updating spreadsheets, preparing correspondence, completing forms and updating lists.
  • Assists legal staff in submitting claims and performs clerical duties related to insurance certificates forms and renewals, bond requests, the tracking of documents, and assists in assembling and tracking subpoena responses.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used legal concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Draft and review contracts including NDAs and tender documents, and support supervisor in preparing documents for other non-contentious and contentious matters
  • Assisting with the preparation of internal project approvals
  • Helping manage claims and disputes, inclusive of judicial and administrative litigation and drafting or settling internal and external communications with law firms, clients and other stakeholders.
  • Working closely with our commercial, project teams and other key internal stakeholders to identify and protect AECOM's broader business interests and strategic objectives;
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law or Legal Studies
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a law firm or corporate legal team will be preferred
  • Ideally graduated in 2022 or 2023 in order to join AECOM's Early Careers Program
