Purpose of the Job:
The management of large centralized power plants and desalinization plants, includingconstruction projects and business development, is increasingly demanding, also from asustainability point of view, bringing new challenges on the fi elds of environmentalcompliance (including the carbon-neutrality concept), process safety, safety andwellbeing of the workforce, crisis and stakeholder management.
The Head of HSE is experienced in the Operations and/or Maintenance of power plantswith the ability to infl uence the larger team in the following areas:
- Defining and promoting the highest standard safety culture and safetyleadership culture in the THERMAL AMEA, vested on a culture of continuousimprovement
- Strengthening governance (policies, guidelines, objectives, management systems,tools), including in clarity and execution readiness
- Promote proactive HSE management through the risk management approachand principles embodied by the PDCA philosophy
- Set governance for HSE controls and audits on sites and Entities
- Performance analysis, monitoring and reporting
- Sharing/exchanging good practices and REXs
- Supporting and challenging the Countries and operational Entities towardsenhancing HSE performance
Key Accountabilities:
- Drives/defi nes and embodies the key HSE programs and initiatives in THERMALAMEA
- Embeds HSSE elements in key T&S GBU and Group H&S projects and processes
- Develop proactive HSSE programs for THERMAL AMEA and its Entities in VisibleFelt Leadership, Employee observations programs, Reward and recognitionprograms, HSSE Themes and Campaigns, and HSSE training programs
- Makes sure the HSE network provides added value to the business in its decisionmaking by supplying regular and qualifi ed information in the form of advice,support, and expertise. Drives the maturity of said network towards havingimpact on the decisions.
- Organize governance through Audits and Controls to ensure compliance toGroup/GBU policies/governance in place, including for contractors' activities.
- Ensures a strong T&S GBU leadership of the HSE network, fosters the sharing ofinformation, competencies, expertise, and experience and drives THERMAL AMEAto build improvement on the current HSE culture that will enable to move towardinterdependency level in HSE Culture
- Coaches and challenges the Country and Entities Teams, including Constructionand Business Development Teams, in taking further ownership and leadership onHSErelated matters
- Develops and maintain the key skills needed to further professionalize the HSEfunctional line

Qualifications:
Experience & Qualification:
- Master degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline
- 10 years+ of signifi cant operational experience in the industrial world
- Degree and/or (certifi ed) relevant experience in HSSE Management, incl. e.g.
- Solid management track record is a sinequanon condition
